SYMBOLIC WEDDINGS

Couples who do not wish to have a legally binding ceremony but who still wish to experience a romantic destination wedding in Puerto Rico, can plan a symbolic wedding or "commitment ceremony" at Copamarina Beach Resort and Spa. The format is the same as it would be for a civil ceremony except that it is not legally binding, and all of our rates and packages are the same as they would be for a traditional wedding ceremony and reception.

A symbolic wedding captures the essence of celebrating your love, while providing a great deal of flexibility in format and content. You can write your own vows, add readings and music as you wish. It can be held in a location of your choice as well – in Copamarina Beach Resort and Spa's scenic gardens, by the Pool, in the Copa Salon, or on the beach! There are no special outdoor use permits required, and no licenses. Anyone can perform the actual ceremony, be it a trusted friend or family member, or it can be a member of the clergy or government – as you wish – since it is "Symbolic" and no paperwork is filed.
